MOSCOW, Jun 7 (PRIME) -- Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by 1.8% on the year in January–April, according to a report released by the Economic Development Ministry on Monday.
Last week Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said that the GDP increased by 10.7% in April on the year, adding that the economy was recovering faster than expected.
The ministry will change the GDP growth forecast for 2021 from the current 2.9% if the positive trend remains, Reshetnikov said.
